Welcome from Fr Ulick Loring

I welcome you to The Church of St James website. St James is a warm, welcoming community and if you are coming to us for the first time, we hope you will enjoy your time here. At St James,we try to cater for all groups. We have many loyal and committed parishioners who have lived here for some years. We also have many young families attracted by the safe, healthy environment and by the high-performing Catholic schools. St Mary's University is round the corner from us. The church itself was opened in 1885 and has a rich and varied history. In style we combine both the old and the new. There are many different activities for you to join including prayer groups, social events, music, and youth activities. If you are new to the parish, please introduce yourself to me after Mass.
